AQSD-DC

A most modern solution that can be integrated into the QS-Environment for comfortable monitoring all RF-Parameters in drag chain stress systems.
Some features:

  • Freely definable sequence control
  • Trigger function, either  time- and/or  Cycle controlled
  • Multi-Channel wiring check
  • Automatic generation of statistics
  • Compatible data organization for the AQSD-TS, Shield-TS
  • Adaptive assignment of correction data
  • Assignment of product, measuring channel and frequency range without new calibration selectable
  • Simplified sequence of calibration for several frequency ranges and calibration tables

On the hardware side the AQSD-DC (DragChain) is extended by a powerful 160-channel router. Up to 10 4-WP data lines, 20 quads or 40 pairs can be tested at the same time. All RF-Parameters of a cable, including NEXT and FEXT, can be recorded in a test sequence at each test item.

By the automation in conjunction with a powerful database, qualified statements on the behavior of the RF-Parameters can be formed for the first time in a real test environment. Automatically generated statistical data quickly provide important information about the temporal behavior of the test specimens.

Depending on the utilization of the machine, individual measurements of any test specimens can also be carried out in the measurement pauses at free measuring channels.

Via the coax outputs, the 4 ports of the NWA can be used for any measurement tasks without having to interfere with the cabling of the measuring device.

The topic of industrial data cables for use in the automation sector is becoming increasingly important and presents new challenges for manufacturers and users.

In addition to the established test with our CableScope the behavior of the conductor and shielding leads in drag chain environment is reliably documented, the qualified assessment of the HF characteristics is increasingly required.

The hitherto customary approach of removing the test specimens from the drag chain, performing some RF test and re-installing them into the drag chain is, of course, associated with a high working load.

Frequently re-contacting the test specimen, etc. limits the comparability of the results and thus reducing the meaningfulness of the measurement series. In addition, all test specimens must be tested one after the other, which is accompanied by long downtimes of the drag chain.

The test fixtures have been redesigned and improved for the operating conditions and allow an even faster connection of non-assembled wires and braids.

The forcing of the wire pairs and shields facilitates the application of the wires / braids and thus forms the prerequisite for reproducible contacting.

A compact Cal-Kit is available for calibrating the test fixtures, which is fully integrated in the calibration and prober data management of the AQSD.
